Sure you came to this site wondering what www.Savingfamilies.com and Bridges 2 Africa are all about.

Saving Families:

This is a brain child we've been nurturing since 2003. Our goal with this site is to provide families with information, resources and empowerment to become financially free. How are we saving families this way? Save in the sense of saving money as well as saving the families from breaking apart. Unfortunately, families are torn apart due to matters and pressures that could easily have been avoided. We are not here to pity party! We are here for straight talk. The bible declares "For lack of Knowledge my people perish"

When this idea was born in 2003, we knew life's gotta be better than buying into a 40/30 plan.  Though in our twenties, we knew working for 40 years and paying on a mortgage for 30 years was a bad plan. If the average person purchases their first home at 30, they'll be only 5 years away from retirement when the home gets paid off.

If the home could be paid off sooner, sure they could save some more towards a comfortable retirement. So why do we pay off our mortgages in 30years? Its normal. That's what most people do. As Robert Kiyosaki will put it. What the heck is normal?

This site is not for people who want to be normal and follow the crowd. It's for people who are willing to do what it takes. People who want to take responsibility for their lives.

We are here to support each other to reach the heights God wants us to attain.

 Bridges 2 Africa:

In 2000, a few months after we started our lives together, we were faced with a challenge of losing a family member who left kids with no one to support. At ages 23 and 25, the power of God in us made us step up to the plate and take responsibility for educating and supporting these kids. Over the cause of our lives, wherever we have seen a need even with our limited resources we have voluntarily stepped up to help. We believe that God blesses so we can be a blessing. Everytime we heard about people going on medical mission trips etc we dreamed and wish that one day we too can be a blessing to less priviledged people in Africa.

In 2009 our partner Church in Ghana Conquerors Chapel informed us about their orphanage and needy Kids Project. Immediately something in us jumped and said, this is what you've been dreaming about. When it came to choosing a name we prayed and God spoke. Why Bridges 2 Africa? God said "There are people with the resources, the willingness to help and but do not know how". You will be the bridge to connect these resources to the places where they are needed". We are very passionate about what we do and know that  Bridges 2 Africa will indeed be a bridge in many ways and masses of people will be helped and blessed through us.

Bridges 2 Africa News

The trip to Ghana to visit the orphans, access the progress and how we need to proceed with the building project was very insightful. We had an opportunity to hear from the horses own mouth.

The passionate stories from the kids about their aspirations, their struggles and the assistance needed were mind boggling. We will have a database of profiles from some of the kids we targeted during our recent visit to enable sponsors an opportunity to meet them.

Matt 35:36 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison...
